Mrs Stone's Whale Watchers

From the Mountains to the Sea

Remembering by Mikaela

We see these poppies standing here,

Getting taken away before New Year,

In the sun they glimmer bright,

To remember those who went to fight,

Every soldier who went to war,

Has a poppy standing for,

Their bravery and their lives,

Because every soldier strives,

To keep their country safe from pain,

They fought through all weather sun or rain,

Everyone who’s here today,

To them our respect we will pay,

They were forced by law,

To fight in the war,

As I hold this beautiful poppy,

I realise there can never be a copy,

Every year in November,

We remember.
