I looked over the railings excitedly. This was my first time at the Tower of London, it was massive. I never thought that there would be so many poppies. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine what it would have been like to fight in World War I, but I couldn’t. As I glanced over the 888,246 poppies I realize how lucky we are to live now. I think about how those soldiers have helped us to get to where we are. “At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.” I murmur under my breath.
